Brunswick House is a beautiful 18th Century Mansion House in Vauxhall, in which weve spent the last decade building a restaurant. Comprising a large, antique-filled dining room, an atmospheric cellar wine bar, a landscaped terrace, and numerous private dining rooms filled with period detail, its one of Londons most iconic and unique venues.

Job Description:
Brunswick House is looking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef to support our senior team on delivering operation needs and keep up with our popular restaurant. You will report back to our Head Chef Jef Syryn, Group Executive Chef Andrew Vontobel-Newman and owner Jackson Boxer as well as our Head of Operations Tammuz Notman.
Key responsibilities include:
- supporting the creative evolution and growth of Brunswick House as we push for ever greater accolades
- Lead your team in prep and service shifts.
- Supporting our head chef in the management, planning and meeting around the kitchen department as well as connected awareness of financial KPIs including labour costs, stock takes, food GPs and operational expenses.
- Ensuring all key administrative tasks are completed promptly, including HR and health and safety compliance.
Ideal candidate
- Experience chef, 1 year experience in a similar role and environment.
- Experience of leading a team as well as planning and admin work.
- A desire to learn and grow with us as a company
- A love of food, cooking and hospitality
We offer
- 49 hours contract. Split over 5 days, depending on events.
