Mechanical Project Manager

*Project Overview:**

We are currently delivering a mechanical fit-out project at the Royal College of Art. The works involve the modification and installation of heating, chilled water, and ventilation systems across two floors scheduled for completion this summer.

**Role Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced **Mechanical Project Manager** to lead and coordinate the on-site delivery of mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will either be a mechanical engineer with project management capabilities or a seasoned Mechanical PM with strong fit-out experience in occupied or high-spec commercial/educational environments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Oversee the mechanical scope of works including heating, chilled water, and ventilation systems

- Manage sub-contractors and coordinate with other trades on site

- Ensure project milestones and quality standards are met

- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Liaise with the client, consultants, and internal teams

- Manage procurement, logistics, and health & safety on site

- Provide regular progress updates and reporting

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager (preferably with fit-out background)

- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services

- Ability to manage project delivery from start to finish

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Available to start immediately

**Nice to Have:**

- Mechanical Engineering background or qualifications

- Experience working on educational or public-sector projects
