Responsibilities:As a Senior Surveyor, you will:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of over 600 commercial properties, ensuring compliance and maximisation of income.
  • Lead negotiations with community and voluntary sector tenants.
  • Prepare and present reports to elected members.
  • Implement the Council's asset management policies and ensure high standards of property management.
  • Engage proactively with tenants to build strong relationships and resolve issues effectively.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial property estate management and Landlord and Tenant legislation.
  • Proven experience managing a large mixed-use commercial property portfolio.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and property management databases.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare complex reports.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience working with community and voluntary sector tenants.
  • Skills in problem-solving and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and elected members.
