Commercial Manager - Social Housing Planned Maintenance

Are you a strategic and results-oriented Commercial Manager with experience in social housing planned maintenance and JCT Forms of Contract? We’re looking for a driven professional to take charge of commercial operations across multiple contracts for a Top 10 Tier 1 Principal Contractor.
This role is a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on management, covering both the pre-contract and post-contract phases. If you have a passion for commercial excellence, budget management, and team leadership, this is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact.
What You’ll Be Doing- Taking ownership of the commercial and budgetary aspects of assigned contracts.
- Leading and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring they thrive in their roles.
- Overseeing the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process and ensuring timely review and approval.
- Representing the commercial function in monthly Contract Review Meetings (CRMs) alongside the Operations Manager.
- Supporting senior leadership in bid assessments and tender evaluations.
- Collaborating with procurement teams to secure cost-effective materials and services.
- Extensive experience in a Commercial Manager role, ideally within a planned maintenance or related sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a commercial team.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities, working effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Solid financial and contractual expertise, ensuring strong commercial governance and cost control.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on driving efficiency and profitability.
