Overview of the role:To oversee lift installation works ensuring correct working methods are followed, issues are well documented, site documentation is well maintained and in date, equipment used is in date, maintain accurate records on progress and co-ordinate all works and site attendances and oversee that it is conducted safely and in line with legal requirements and company policies.To liaise with the Main Contractors site team on matters of progress, access, etc and bring to the attention of the Project Manager any issues that have the potential to cause TKE delay or cost. Attend daily look ahead meeting with the client delivery team and where required, attend weekly progress meetings with TKE Project Manager in support on general progress and operational matters. Conduct in collaboration with installation supervisors, Joint LMRA’s with the installation team and any TKE sub-contractors as well end of shift debriefings. Ensure that daily personal LMRA’s are carried out by the installation team members and any TKE sub-contractors as well as pre-task 'job walks’ by any sub-teams. Conduct and record weekly toolbox talks with the installation team and any subcontractors Ensure that all RAMS are issued, read, understood and recorded and that the installation team and sub-contractors are adhering to the RAMS.
Duties are but not limited to:• Liaise with supervisors and keep an accurate records of progress • Plan upcoming works and liaise with other trades where applicable • Undertake regular site walk arounds and record events in the form of site reports and photos • Keep a detailed site diary of all events (deliveries, trades, access, general areas of work and progress, etc) • Inform PM of items / materials (separate to main lift equipment or let sub-con packages) which need ordering, for who and when required • Organise works by TKE & installation sub-contractors where required • Organise sub-contract works, attendance and interfaces in conjunction with PM • Correspond as required to TKE, suppliers, client, other trades, etc. • Attend progress site meetings as required along with the PM • Attend daily briefing meetings with client (normally at end of the day on most projects in preparation for following day) • Check day work requests are legitimate as soon as they arise and ensure day work sheets are completed and issued to PM on the day • Complete site reports / obtain pictures of items which have or are likely to affect TKE (water ingress, other trades finishes installed too early, etc.) • Ensure works are being completed as per RAMS and RAMS are briefed and signed • Discuss any amendments needed to RAMS with relevant site team • Inform PM of sequence of works / amendments so RAMS can be completed / amended where applicable • Submit late working and weekend working sheets (normally required for Thursday submission) • In collaboration with Installation Supervisors, undertake 'Joint LMRAs’ with install, logistics and TKE sub-contractors and end of shift briefings as MSR system. • Ensure that all personnel are carrying out personal LMRA’s and sub-teams and conducting pre-task Job Walks as MSR system • SIF critical controls inspections twice per week as per MSR system • Where TKE MSR system mirrors that of clients Yellow Jacket system, upload TKE information to Yellow Jacket • Undertake weekly Toolbox Talks with site team and ensure TBT’s Q&A sheets are filed, scanned and uploaded to project folder and issued on client Yellow Jacket where applicable• Responsible for timely off hire off equipment and / or plant upon completion of relevant works • Organise site entry applications, client inductions and necessary documentation. • Provide TKE own Site Induction for new starters in addition to clients induction • Maintain and update TKE Site Induction in line with changing site / changing TKE operations• Undertake pre-inductions ensuring all trades have been briefed on the RAMS before attending main inductions (at site start date for any new operatives and TKE sub-contractors) • Be first aid trained or willing to be trained ahead of works starting (training arranged by TKE) • Incident and accident reports and investigation (Site Manager and Project Manager) • Maintain site records and ensure tests are kept up to date (PAT testing, lifting equipment certs, daily briefings, TBT’s, inspection records, etc) • All Information added to shared project folder to enable complete records • It would be advantageous if the Site Manager was also slinger signaller qualified but not essential as this function ideally needs to be the Logistics Manager / Lead role. Only required as advantageous for absence cover • Maintain a site reporting line whereby the site manager is the first line of contact for site related matters
Requirements:• Be a CSCS card holder • Be a SMSTS certificate holder • Management of lift installation works advantageous but is not essential (Project Manager and Sub-contractor Installation Manager and Supervisors support) • Does need to be experienced in Construction Site Management • Experienced in managing a medium sized team typically 15 to 20 people (at peak could grow to 30 people with introduction of TKE fabrication subcontractor packages but for limited periods of time • Need to be a strong confident character, a team player but also be self motivated
