Job Overview:

My client is looking for an ambitious, self-driven Business Development Manager specialising in Building Management Systems (BMS) to join our growing team in the London & Southeast region. You will focus on expanding their business by promoting their advanced BMS solutions and fostering strategic partnerships, particularly in the commercial real estate, property management, and facility management sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote Advanced BMS Solutions – Advocate for our cutting-edge Building Management Systems and their energy-saving benefits.
  • Identify New Business Opportunities – Proactively seek out potential clients and new business ventures in the commercial property and facilities management sectors.
  • Nurture Existing Client Relationships – Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships – Engage with key stakeholders to form collaborations and partnerships, enhancing our market presence in London and the Southeast.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record in Business Development – Demonstrable success in growing business and driving sales, ideally within the BMS, building control, or related sectors.
  • Strong Knowledge of Building Control Systems – A thorough understanding of Building Management Systems and their role in enhancing building efficiency and sustainability.
  • Confident in Client-Facing Environments – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to confidently interact with clients, building trust and rapport.
  • Self-Motivated and Goal-Oriented – Ability to work independently and meet sales targets within a competitive, fast-paced market.
  • Willingness to Travel – Due to the nature of the role, frequent travel to and from client sites is required. A valid UK driving license is essential.
