Permanant- Business Development Manager

Salary up to £80,000

37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm

I am currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to work in the Service & Maintenance Team for a leading independent construction company. 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of the business by identifying new opportunities, fostering relationships with existing and potential clients, and expanding the customer base. The role will focus on enhancing the company's presence within Greater London by targeting end users, consultants, PQS, managing agents and FM companies. The individual will be a key member of the Senior Management team, helping to shape and execute the company's business development strategy. 

The primary aim of this role is to drive growth of the building services business by identifying new opportunities, fostering relationships with existing and potential clients. It would be beneficial if you already had contacts within the facilities management industry. The role will be mainly this, less of the tendering process side.   

Knowledge and Experience

  • 7 years plus in a Sales or Business Development role, specifically within the technical building services and facilities management sectors. 
  • Demonstrated success in securing orders withing the building services industry, covering areas like new build, refurbishment, fit-out, plant replacement and repairs/ maintenance. 
  • Extensive understanding of the building services sector, including projects and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with operational delivery and the technical intricacies of the industry
  • Proven ability to identify and approach key decision makers within prospective client organisations.
