I am seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join my client finance department at the head office. This role involves maintaining the Debtors Ledger within agreed terms and conditions, ensuring efficient financial operations within the company.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Raising invoices and credit notes.
  • Allocating cash and BACS and downloading bank statements.
  • Chasing outstanding debtors and issuing legal notices to overdue accounts.
  • Preparing cash flow forecast reports and reviewing aged debtor reports.
  • Liaising with customers to resolve queries and running monthly statements.
  • Holding fortnightly debtor meetings with the Financial Director, Financial Controller, and Divisional Directors.
  • Conducting client account reconciliations and opening new credit accounts for specific divisions.
  • Monitoring credit ratings for existing clients and adjusting credit limits as appropriate.
  • Producing end-of-month sales, debtors, and cash received reports.
  • Maintaining accurate records by ensuring all company correspondence and paperwork are filed appropriately and archived according to company procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Institute of Credit Management Certificate (CICM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Good commercial awareness with forecasting skills and budgeting capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and capable of producing accurate reports.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues.
