Next Chapter Talent is excited to partner with a leading property services company in London to find a skilled Credit Controller to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly reputable company, overseeing the smooth operation of the Credit Control function for a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Credit Control function for your designated portfolio, ensuring timely rent and service charge payments, and supporting with legal disputes or breaches where necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with your line manager to track individual accounts, preparing regular arrears reports and managing contributions for major works.
  • Review the arrears list regularly, taking proactive steps and working with the Senior Credit Controller and Property Managers to resolve issues.
  • Escalate matters with mortgagees, solicitors, or bailiffs when required, ensuring prompt and efficient follow-up on all cases.
  • Liaise with Property Managers to gather information on outstanding repairs, breaches, or disputes prior to taking action on arrears recovery.
  • Ensure the efficient and timely collection of debt, minimising the risk of non-payment while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and negotiate payment plans with leaseholders and tenants as necessary, working alongside the Senior Credit Controller.
  • Advise senior management on complex arrears settlements and support in preparing documentary evidence for potential Court proceedings.
  • Represent the company in Court when required, handling the entire process professionally and effectively.
  • Manage all correspondence—calls, emails, and documentation—related to your portfolio, ensuring that all records are accurately maintained.
  • Ensure that all payments are processed in accordance with company procedures, and assist with any queries related to disrepair, major works, or legal disputes.
  • Provide in-house administrative support for customer accounts and undertake any other duties as directed by senior management.
