Robert Half are assisting a market leading financial services organisation to recruit an Data Analyst on permanent basis.

The Data Analyst will be joining a market-leading financial services organisation based in London. This dynamic role is pivotal in generating actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and improve business performance. The successful candidate will play a key part in transforming complex datasets into meaningful recommendations for departments across the organisation.

Role

  • The Data analyst will collect, clean, and analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to provide real-time insights for different stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, and operations, to support analytical needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Utilise advanced analytics techniques to forecast trends and support predictive modelling initiatives.
  • Validate data integrity and ensure accuracy across all reporting and analysis activities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, tools, and techniques in data analytics and the financial services industry.

Profile

  • The Data Analyst will ideally have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst within the financial services sector (minimum 2-3 years preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting and compliance metrics in the financial services industry.
  • Exceptional Excel skills, including advanced functions and data modelling.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and database management is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
