Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of frontline operatives, ensuring high standards in street cleansing and estate services.
  • Monitor performance against set targets and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular risk assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and external agencies, promoting excellent customer care.
  • Prepare and present reports on service performance and staff management.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, including COSHH.
  • Minimum 12 months supervisory experience in a frontline public sector or social housing role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of drafting reports and responding to inquiries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience in performance management and staff supervision within a public service environment.
  • Ability to plan and organise workload effectively.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
