Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician with a background in hospital, NHS or healthcare environments? One of the UK's leading FM service providers is seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join their team on a prestigious healthcare site in London.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all electrical plant and systems.
Ensure the safe and effective operation of critical systems including:
LV distribution
Emergency lighting
Fire alarms
Nurse call systems
Backup generators & UPS systems
Undertake fault diagnosis and rectification on a variety of hospital-grade electrical equipment.
Ensure all works are completed in compliance with HTM guidelines and statutory regulations.
Monitor and maintain compliance logs, asset registers and certification via the CAFM system.
Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and attend to reactive issues during shift.
Liaise with clinical staff, patients (where necessary) and the on-site facilities team in a professional and considerate manner.
Adhere strictly to infection control, health & safety, and site-specific protocols at all times.
Work closely with the mechanical and fabric maintenance teams during shift handovers.
Requirements:
City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification (mandatory).
Healthcare/NHS/hospital maintenance experience (desirable)
Experience working on LV systems, alarms, lighting, distribution boards and emergency systems.
Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and working to HTM/healthcare standards.
Comfortable working in a shift-based role and being part of a responsive engineering team.
Good communication and documentation skills.
