M&E Project Manager (Mechanical Focus)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled M&E Project Manager, with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems, to oversee mechanical and electrical operations across residential and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have proven project management expertise, deep technical knowledge of mechanical systems, and the leadership ability to guide multidisciplinary teams in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Manage the mechanical and electrical installation and commissioning processes for both residential and commercial projects, ensuring seamless integration of systems.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project timelines, ensuring mechanical and electrical works are completed within agreed deadlines and milestones.
• Budget and Cost Management: Oversee the project budget, track costs, and manage resources efficiently, ensuring that financial targets are met and exceeded.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance for all mechanical-related aspects of the project, from design to execution, addressing challenges and ensuring compliance with mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other contractors to ensure smooth coordination and that all systems are implemented as per the design specifications.
• Quality Control: Monitor quality standards, perform regular site inspections, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain the highest standards of workmanship.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to mechanical systems and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
• Client Liaison: Maintain strong communication with clients, providing regular project updates and managing expectations regarding timelines, costs, and technical specifications.

Qualifications:

• Relevant engineering qualification or certification in mechanical engineering.
• Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager or in a senior mechanical project management role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation methods, and building services in residential and commercial projects.
• Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical codes, safety regulations, and compliance.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• SSSTS / SMSTS certification (preferable).
• Experience with large-scale or high-end residential/commercial projects is highly desirable.
