A professional and detail-oriented Events Assistant & Conference Centre Receptionist is required to join a leading conference centre in Westminster, London. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support the seamless execution of events while ensuring high standards of customer service.

The venue primarily hosts events during weekday working hours, offering a structured schedule without late nights or weekend work, ensuring a strong work-life balance.

About the role

The Events Assistant & Conference Centre Receptionist will be responsible for supporting event operations, welcoming guests, assisting event organisers, coordinating suppliers, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining the venue's professional presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Coordination

  • Oversee deliveries, goods, and service providers.
  • Manage supply orders to meet event needs.
  • Assist with AV setup and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
  • Update customer logos on digital screens.
  • Support event space setup and breakdown.

Reception & Guest Services

  • Greet and assist guests with professionalism and a friendly approach.
  • Handle enquiries and direct them to the appropriate teams.
  • Manage event feedback and maintain accurate records.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain the event diary system and ensure accurate updates.
  • Prepare and distribute welcome letters to organisers.
  • Develop and maintain a supplier and contractor database.

Catering & Venue Maintenance

  • Assist with setting up and clearing catering areas.
  • Ensure food and beverage areas remain tidy and well-stocked.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the venue.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or event coordination (preferred but not essential).
