Job Summary:

Hackney Council is seeking an Executive Support Assistant to provide reliable, confidential, and proactive administrative support to two Directors of Housing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing diaries and inboxes, taking accurate meeting notes, and being a key point of contact between the Directors and internal/external stakeholders. You will also work collaboratively with the wider Executive Support Team and provide cover for colleagues when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Extensive diary management for senior directors.
  • Efficient inbox management, ensuring key communications are actioned promptly.
  • Attending high-level meetings, taking accurate notes, and recording action points.
  • Acting as a liaison between the Directors and a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the wider Executive Support Team to ensure smooth office operations, including providing cover for colleagues during absences.
Essential Criteria:
  • Recent substantial experience in providing high-level administrative support to senior management in large organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex diaries and inboxes.
  • Experience in attending high-level meetings, taking notes, and recording action points.
Preferred Criteria:
  • Experience using Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides).
  • Experience working in a Housing or Customer Service environment.
