Personal Assistant - Public Sector
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant to provide essential support to senior leadership. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of executive functions by managing complex diaries, handling high-level correspondence, and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Director's schedule, ensuring their time is effectively utilised in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Managing sensitive and high-priority communications, they will act as the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism at all times. This role also includes preparing agendas, distributing meeting papers, recording minutes, and ensuring that follow-up actions are completed.
A key aspect of the role involves identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes, embracing new technologies, and aligning departmental activities with strategic goals. Strong stakeholder management skills will be essential, requiring the ability to foster strong relationships with senior teams, elected members, and external partners.
This is a hybrid role, requiring two days per week in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience providing high-level PA support at a senior level, preferably within a public sector or similar setting. They should possess excellent attention to detail, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to handle complex and challenging situations with resilience and professionalism. A proactive and forward-thinking approach, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a team, will be key to success in this role.
