Senior FPA Analyst, Private Equity-Backed R&D, Central London, £80-85k + Bonus

We're exclusively partnering with a leading, private equity-backed company that's dominating its market. This ambitious company has achieved global expansion through strategic acquisitions, pushing boundaries and setting the standard in its field.

As The Senior FP&A Analyst you will play a key role in supporting the business by delivering high-quality financial insights, enabling strategic decision-making, and driving financial performance. You will be responsible for internal reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring financial data is accurate, transparent, and actionable.

It is a hands-on position, requiring strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to enhance financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling processes, ensuring robust and accurate projections aligned with business objectives.
  • Management Reporting: Deliver insightful commentary and analysis on management reports, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary to support decision-making.
  • Strategic Support: Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights that drive commercial decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with key internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and commercial teams, to ensure financial data is understood and utilised effectively.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Enhance existing reporting processes and utilise financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Private Equity Reporting: Support the Finance team with reporting requirements and insights for private equity stakeholders.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide financial analysis and scenario modelling to support key business initiatives and investment decisions.

Essentials:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Relevant FP&A experience in a global, multi-entity business.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
