A large Private Hospital in London is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Manager to cover some long term sick leave. The position has been signed off for 6 months, with the possiblity of extension.

The successful candidate will lead a smaller, more junior, team and will be ultimately responsible for the timely processing of payments.

The role will report directly into the Financial Controller and applicants must be available on 2 weeks notice, or shorter.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process

  • Lead and support a small AP team, fostering a collaborative work environment

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations

  • Monitor and manage AP workflows to maintain compliance with internal controls and policies

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve any payment discrepancies

  • Provide regular reports and updates to the Financial Controller

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Senior AP role, Private Hospital experience is highly favourable

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
