This organisation is a world leader in the creation & distribution of internationally acclaimed multi-genre content and have been responsible for bringing many award winning shows to our screens!

As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 5/6 people who are responsible for the processing and payment of all invoices and expenses for the UK businesses alongside a number of international territories. This is a pivotal role within the business that requires an individual who enjoys a hands-on managerial role. You will need to be comfortable leading and developing a team, ensuring the timely delivery of the AP function but also be an active member of the team, rolling your sleeves up.

To be a suitable you will need to have extensive accounts payable experience and have previously held a managerial or supervisory position.

This is a hybrid role that will require you to be in the centrally located London office 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead, manage and develop a team of 5 Accounts Payable professionals including hiring/onboarding, weekly/monthly meetings, review of work/performance and overseeing all daily tasks & duties
  • Oversee all AP activities from receipt of invoices through to processing of payment runs
  • Ensure the full maintenance and reconciliation of the ledger
  • Work to continuously improve processes, control & procedures, optimising the efficiency of the team and mitigating any risk
  • Prepare & process all electronic transfers and payments
  • Oversee the processing of all staff expenses
  • Review, verify and authorise payment runs and BACs transfers
  • Aged creditor reviews and reporting

To be a successful candidate you must have proven experience of managing/supervising and developing an Accounts Payable team, ideally within a TV, Media or similar fast-paced, dynamic organisation for a good number of years.

You will be proactive, have an approachable 'can-do’ attitude and a proven track record of stakeholder & vendor relationship management.

You will have exceptional communication skills, be highly organised and be able to demonstrate previous systems and process improvement implementation. Advanced Excel skills and a highly level of IT proficiency is also required.

You will be a real team player who champions your own team, leading by example and cultivating a collaborative and enjoyable team environment.

You will be a natural leader who enjoys working in a creative, fast paced environment and due continued growth forecast you must be able to demonstrate your ability to evolve the department and team accordingly.

You will need to naturally take ownership, seeing tasks through to completion and who always meets/exceeds deadlines.
