About the Role:

Our client, a highly respected accountancy practice based in Central London, is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Audit Manager to join their team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned audit professional to lead and inspire a team, manage a diverse client portfolio, and play a pivotal role in the growth of the firm's audit function.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Oversight: Oversee the effective, professional, and efficient delegation, work-flow, and completion of audit assignments for a diverse client base.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with developments in audit and financial reporting standards and related matters, ensuring the firm remains at the forefront of industry practices.
  • Client Advisory: Provide advanced technical guidance and audit planning advice to clients, serving as the primary point of contact for larger clients on day-to-day audit matters.
  • Collaboration: Assist Audit Partners and Directors in planning audits and managing local reporting tasks.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of audit staff, fostering their professional growth and supporting them in achieving their goals.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professional contacts.
  • Audit Excellence: Collaborate with the audit team to ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and in compliance with the firm's audit policies and relevant procedures.
  • Representation: Act as an ambassador for the firm, representing its values and nurturing client relationships.

Key Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record of leading audits for a diverse range of clients, ideally within a similar accountancy practice.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK audit regulations and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a client-centric approach.
  • Ambition, with the drive and potential to progress to partnership within two years.
