Are you a seasoned Corporate Tax professional with a strong background in compliance, tax audit support, and advisory work? A leading accountancy firm is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a broad range of clients, from SMEs to multinational corporations, and take on tax audit responsibilities alongside a wider advisory role.

With a strong national and international presence, it supports businesses operating in multiple jurisdictions.

The Role

As a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you will work closely with Partners and Directors, overseeing tax compliance, tax audit support, and advisory services. You will play a key role in developing client relationships, managing a team, and contributing to business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Audit & Compliance:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for tax-related audit support, working closely with internal audit teams.
  • Deliver audit of tax services, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS tax reporting requirements.
  • Identify and manage international tax risks, regulatory changes, and finance structures affecting tax positions.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between audit, tax, and advisory teams, maintaining clear communication with clients.

Corporate Tax Advisory & Reporting:

  • Advise clients on a wide range of tax issues, including structuring, cross-border expansion, M&A transactions, capital allowances, and R&D claims.
  • Act as the tax accounting specialist for non-audit clients, assisting with complex provisioning engagements and GAAP conversions.
  • Support the firm's technical and compliance department on tax matters.
  • Review and oversee the preparation of tax computations and disclosures.

Business Development & Leadership:

  • Establish and develop strong client relationships, acting as the key point of contact for corporate tax matters.
  • Contribute to business development through client proposals, presentations, and industry insights.
  • Manage, mentor, and support junior team members, providing technical guidance and career development opportunities.
  • Take an active role in shaping the corporate tax team's strategy and growth.
What We're Looking For
  • Extensive experience in UK Corporate Tax, with a strong mix of compliance, audit support, and advisory work.
  • Proven ability to manage tax audits, liaise with audit teams, and provide tax accounting expertise.
  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS tax reporting requirements.
  • Experience working at Manager, Senior Manager, or entry-level Director level within a comparable firm.
  • Ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner to non-tax specialists.
  • A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
