Finance and Commercial Product Lead

- Hybrid with 3 days per week in central London (mandatory), 2 WFH
- 6 months initial contract
- £650 per day via Umbrella
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Commercial Product Lead to join a dynamic services organisation focused on delivering modern, user-centric solutions and providing critical data management for Finance and Commercial functions. This role is pivotal in supporting the transformation of service delivery, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors like Oracle and SSCL to drive enhancements and strategic alignment of finance systems.
- Engage with various stakeholders including Data and Solutions teams, Transformation Team, Service Delivery, Product Teams, IT/System Owners, and Digital, Data and Technology groups to ensure cohesive product development and deployment.
- Manage product roadmaps, prioritise backlogs, and facilitate technology change discussions.
- Lead a team focused on functional enhancements, providing clear direction and support to align with organisational goals.
- Regularly interact with external organisations to support deliverables and maintain strong partnerships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a product manager or owner, ideally within the finance and commercial sectors.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Finance and Commercial solutions, with a strong understanding of SaaS-based products.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud and its application in back-office services.
- Experience in project management across both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration across diverse groups.
- Understanding of finance team processes and public sector shared services challenges.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage team workloads and align them with product priorities and roadmaps.
- Detailed knowledge of product lifecycles processes including testing & change management
