Robertson Bell is pleased to announce their partnership with Gateway Housing Association in their recruitment for a Finance Business Partner - Capital, Development & Sales, to join their team on a permanent basis. As the Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the Assets & Development directorate, providing high-quality financial advice, analysis, and reporting. Your expertise will enable Gateway to make informed financial decisions regarding fixed assets, development projects, regeneration schemes, and shared ownership sales. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the organisation.

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
- Work with Assets & Development directorate to provide effective financial planning, reporting and analysis to enable effective decision making.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information about Gateway’s properties and other fixed assets.
- Management and accounting of development grants and recycled capital grant fund.
- Ownership of subsidiary accounting and reporting for active VAT recovery design & build company and currently inactive private sale development & management company.
- Partner with Assets & Development directorate to implement effective mechanisms to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of its programmes, departments and teams.
- Ensure all fixed asset information is kept updated and is accurately and comprehensively reflected across all platforms.
- Support in the financial appraisal of new developments and regeneration schemes.
- Determine inputs for financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure correct allocation of development and other expenditure between capital and operating expenses.
- Prepare allocated sections of management accounts, annual report and financial accounts.
The successful candidate will have:
- Achieved their full accountancy qualification.
- Experience of accounting for development processes from pre-acquisition stage to final account stage.
- Demonstrable experience in asset management processes and maintaining fixed asset registers.
- A background working in social housing or a similar asset-based customer-oriented entity.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Financial planning, reporting and analysis skills.
