I am recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a large, expanding international Professional Services firm based in Central London. In this position you will be embedded in a very high profile £60m revenue business unit partnering with a number of high achieving individuals (Director level stakeholders), where you will be tasked with adding value on both an operational and financial level, with the ultimate goal of driving an improvement in the bottom line.

The role:

This is a key role for the business and the successful candidate will have had experience of working in a Finance Business Partnering role within a busy, multifunctional mid/large sized business environment, this experience will have provided you with significant exposure to a broad range of commercially orientated tasks, leveraging off your strong financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and business partnering skills.

You will partner with executive directors and senior managers from the business unit to provide guidance, commercial insight and technical financial skills to support the successful achievement of the business’s strategic and financial objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering - effectively manage and develop the relationships with executive directors and senior managers through collaborating, influencing, challenging and negotiating, to support the business in achieving its financial productivity and growth objectives.
  • Provide strategic, commercial and financial insight (financial and non-financial KPI’s), advice and support to executive directors, senior managers on all aspects of financial management for this complex business unit and its activities.
  • Develop and own the budgeting and forecasting processes for the business unit. Challenge the key stakeholders on their performance, future plans and outlook.
  • Prepare and deliver business performance insight and reporting including regular re-forecasting, commentary and identification of performance variances, ensuring that it is easily understood and fit for use by the business.
  • Undertake financial modelling, scenario planning and business case preparation to support effective decision making, leading to improved business and financial performance.

Candidate requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) qualification, with 3 + years PQE.
  • Extensive finance business partnering experience gained in a large organisation where you have been embedded in the business.
  • You must have made a significant impact on the performance of a division / business unit; evidenced by the measures that you have taken / implemented which have directly resulted in improved profitability, this is not about cost control.
  • Proven track record of building successful relationships with senior (Director level) business leaders; evidenced by your ability to influence, negotiate and challenge at a senior level.
  • Significant experience of the provision of strategic business insight in a complex environment; evidenced by your ability to present complex financial information to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with proven leadership skills and the desire to develop and progress in a fast-paced, growing professional environment.

Hybrid working - 2-3 days per week in the office.
