- Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee and mentor junior finance team members, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process.
- Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Continuously improve financial reporting processes and systems.
- ACA qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory accounts, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
