A rapidly expanding business is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. With a turnover of £10m and ambitious growth plans, this role provides a unique opportunity to oversee the entire finance function, from transaction processing to budgeting and financial reporting. You'll play a key role in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, reporting directly to the founder and contributing to the business’s exciting journey ahead.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end finance function, including payroll for 18 employees and high-volume bookkeeping across multiple revenue streams.
  • Leading bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and ensuring financial accuracy and strong cash flow management.
  • Overseeing VAT returns and year-end processes, working closely with external accountants to maintain compliance for audit.
  • Developing and maintaining financial forecasts, including P&L and cash flow models, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Providing key financial insights and ensuring robust financial controls to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Managing credit control for a prestigious customer base, ensuring timely payments while delivering exceptional customer service to maintain strong relationships.

This role is based in Bermondsey, London with at least three days per week in the office. This role offers excellent benefits including a pension scheme, 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), an employee discount scheme, an annual bonus scheme, and a company share option scheme.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in both transactional finance, management accounts and financial planning.
  • Be comfortable working in a hands-on finance role in a smaller organisation.
  • Possess strong Excel skills and the ability to manage large volumes of financial data and create spreadsheets.
  • Be committed to supporting the growth of a business and happy to take full ownership of the finance function.
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
