Description

The main duties the finance manager will need to carry out are as follows:

  • Lead the finance team in daily operations.
  • Managing the budgets of designated schools & professional service departments (PSD) and working closely with the respective budget holders in delivering targeted budgeted results
  • Manage financial reports and statements.
  • Advise on VAT and partial exemption VAT rules.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set financial goals.
  • Manage designated schools' enterprise income reporting and assist in their bids for research income, while identifying new income sources, opportunities to increase existing income lines and efficiency savings.
  • Monitor and manage the organisation's budget.
  • Conduct financial audits and present findings.
  • Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • ACA Qualification is Essential
  • Experience in preparing statutory financial accounts & interaction with external auditors or relevant work experience in an audit practice performing external audits
  • Professional finance or accounting certification.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
  • Experience in managing a finance team.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
