Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated finance professional to join our team, taking charge of key reporting responsibilities. This role will involve managing the monthly, interim, and year-end reporting cycles, working closely with various stakeholders, and providing insightful business performance reports to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of the company's annual and interim financial reports, as well as any ad-hoc trading updates.
  • Act as the main liaison with external auditors, fostering strong working relationships across all levels.
  • Deliver expert technical accounting advice to ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards (IFRS, FRS 101/102).
  • Stay up-to-date with current accounting standards and ensure that the finance team is well informed.
  • Lead the integration of new accounting standards or amendments into business practices.
  • Develop efficient and effective monthly reporting processes to deliver clear, actionable insights to the leadership team.
  • Conduct a thorough review of month-end closing procedures to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Work closely with other departments, including General Managers and Operations, to maintain smooth collaboration across the business.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and contribute to business decision-making.
  • Support various ad-hoc projects and provide analysis as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • ACA qualified with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Previous audit experience with UK-listed or public companies is required.
  • Experience in a UK-listed business is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in the retail or hospitality sector is beneficial, though not essential.
