Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensingtonis seeking aGroups Reservations Manager who will be responsible to manage the groups team in the handling of all incoming Group inquiries, and to ensure procedures are in place and adhered to regarding group information, rate quoting, chasing, credit, contracts, deposits and the communication of information regarding group bookings and to maximize revenue potential for the hotel.
TheGroups Reservations Manager Key Responsibilities will include:
To manage all Group Block Space Leisure Groups / Ad Hoc Corporate Groups / Exhibition & Event Groups and Allocations.
To manage the Groups Reservations Agents and Groups Co-ordinator in the quoting and administration of all group bookings, including the training and development of the team.
To respond to all incoming inquiries for Leisure Groups / Ad Hoc Corporate Groups / Exhibition & Event Groups and Allocations and to provide accurate and detailed quotations.
Along with the Revenue Manager, work to make decisions on the acceptance or rejection of group bookings based on rate and availability in order to maximize hotel revenue
To input Group/Block Reservations into the Opera reservations system, ensuring all details are accurate and complete in line with the agreed departmental standard.
To ensure a rolling monthly check is made on all incoming groups and options held to ensure accurate inventory availability, and to check and manage the Block Forecast Report, ensuring all groups are chased, information is up to date and accurate.
The Experience & Qualifications forGroups Reservations Manager:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to organise and plan daily operation for Group Res team.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
- Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
The successful candidate will be:
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
