A prestigious legal services firm is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to oversee the financial operations and accounting performance of our London office. This strategic role involves close collaboration with Partners and direct management of the London Finance team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress to a Financial Director role.
Day-to-day of the role:- Oversee the production of the core monthly management reporting pack.
- Manage budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting, including overseeing the annual budget process.
- Oversee the quarterly VAT return process and the UK partnership tax return process.
- Manage treasury functions, including banking relationships and cash management for the London office.
- Lead the transactional team, including Accounts Payable and Payroll.
- Recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller, preferably in an international firm.
- Experience managing a Finance team.
- Experience within a professional services or legal setting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules is beneficial.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Opportunity to progress to a Financial Director role.
- Initial full-time office attendance, transitioning to a flexible working model.
