We are partnering with a leading education provider to recruit a Head of Finance on a permanent basis. This role is a key position within the trust’s growth plan, overseeing financial operations across multiple schools and ensuring robust financial management to support strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will:
- Lead on financial forecasting, budgeting, and management accounting across the schools, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Work closely with the Director to provide financial insights that shape key decisions.
- Oversee financial systems, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all schools.
- Line manage finance teams at each school, fostering development and maintaining strong financial controls.
- Take ownership of year-end processes, audits, and capital expenditure monitoring.
- Provide financial business partnering support to senior leadership teams and department heads.

The Ideal Candidate will:
- Be a qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or have substantial relevant experience.
- Have strong technical finance skills, including knowledge of prepayments, accruals, and double-entry accounting.
- Be experienced in financial forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering.
- Have a proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to work at pace.
- Be passionate about working in the education sector and making a meaningful difference.
- Be a confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels.
