The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in working directly with senior leadership, providing insights on technical accounting and reporting developments. With a deep understanding of complex financial processes, they will lead the team in driving process improvements, managing group consolidation, and ensuring compliance with global accounting standards. The ideal individual will possess the ability to influence key decision-makers, and a proactive approach to managing change within a rapidly evolving business environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing group consolidations and statutory accounts preparation, liaising closely with auditors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Driving consistency in reporting, ensuring all processes are system-driven during development and testing phases.
  • Providing support to the broader finance team during year-end close and financial reporting.
  • Managing the year-end process to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial statements and disclosures.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the financial operations of the business to enhance internal controls and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership and cultural sensitivity when collaborating with global teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment across regions.

The candidate:

  • ACA, ACCA Qualified Accountant.
  • Experience of managing group accounting processes and consolidations for a complex organisation.
  • Good technical accounting skills and knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
  • Comfortable with a variety of finance systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload within tight deadlines.
