Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a leadership role with a strategic impact? We are seeking a Deputy s151 Officer to play a key role in financial management, ensuring strong governance and resource efficiency.

About the Role

As part of the Finance Service Management Team, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Financial Management, Revenues and Benefits team, including Schools Finance. Your expertise will guide financial planning, budgeting, and compliance while supporting senior leaders in financial decision-making.

You will:? Lead and manage financial services, ensuring effective resource management? Provide expert financial advice to senior leadership and elected members? Oversee revenue budgets, financial strategy, and taxation functions? Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices? Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and service excellence? Support corporate projects and community initiatives? Represent the organisation at the highest levels

About You

You will be a fully qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience, including financial leadership. A track record of budgetary management, financial planning, and governance is essential, alongside experience advising senior stakeholders.
