Interim Finance Director - Capital Projects£1000-£1200 per day6 Months+Southeast (Hybrid)

As Interim Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery and financial management of the company's Capital Infrastructure Programs. This role is critical in applying financial rigour while the business delivers complex projects at pace.

You will be responsible for establishing a new Finance Team to support the delivery of capital investment, embedding your role and your team's roles into the permanent structure of the organization. Working closely with Senior Leaders across the business, you will drive performance to meet aligned business objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Financial Clarity, Control, and Insight, while acting as a key advisor to both the Executive Team and the Board on the Strategic and Financial Performance of the Program. You will also serve as the trusted advisor and Finance Lead with respect to Opex and Capex.

Role Deliverables:* Manage the monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly financial reporting for Capital Investment to ensure accurate accounting and cost control.* Provide clear, timely reports to the business, Executives, and Board, demonstrating control and linking performance with investment.* Prepare and present performance reports to the Executive Committee and Investment Sub-committees, offering insights and guidance to drive the business forward.* Deliver a 5-year Financial Plan for investment programs.* Lead finance discussions on Commercial, Contractual, and Investment matters to ensure balanced commercial accountability.* Collaborate with business units to ensure forecasts are accurate and timely, supporting treasury management and investor confidence.* Ensure project and program investments are accurately recorded according to budget guidelines, with any deviations captured promptly.* Ensure Operational and Capital Efficiency targets are met and progress is tracked.* Lead finance efforts to improve Procurement Control.* Own the Risk Management process and oversee Financial Inputs for investment decisions.

Candidate Requirements:* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).* Experience in a regulated and/or infrastructure-based business with large-scale capital investment experience.* Demonstrable experience partnering at the Executive Level.* Proven ability to manage teams to deliver within a complex matrix structure.* High levels of Commercial Acumen.
