An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Accounts and Business Services Manager to join a well-established firm. This hybrid position offers the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, lead a high-performing team, and provide strategic advice and insights to clients. As an Accounts and Business Services Manager, you will lead the delivery of accounting services while ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You will oversee a team, manage client relationships, and provide high-level strategic guidance.
What you will be doing as a Manager in the Business Services team:
- Accounts Delivery: Review and finalize accounts for director/partner review and deliver comprehensive accounts packs to clients.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Partner with clients to provide valuable financial insights and act as their trusted business advisor.
- Client Portfolio Management: Take sole responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their service needs are met and deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team, overseeing workloads, team performance, and portfolio management. Provide training and development where necessary.
- Performance Monitoring: Track the financial performance of the team, ensuring work is completed on time, and quality standards are maintained.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in Xero and Sage (essential).
- Strong knowledge of VAT rules and regulations (essential).
- Experience in working under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
- Regular dealings with HMRC.
- Strong interpersonal and team-working skills, with the ability to lead by example.
- Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
