An opportunity to develop your career within a London Market underwriting environment. The Operations Manager will lead a small team responsible for ensuring the effective oversight of underwriting activity in the London and European branches, premium and claims processing, credit control and financials.
The role requires knowledge of London Market processing via bureau but also direct Company market and requires the person to identify efficiencies, automate existing manual processes and build a robust framework that is scalable to support future business growth.
This role would suit an experienced operations specialist who is used to running a small team and looking for career progression.
What you need to show
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in an operational role in the insurance market with recent management experience;
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively;
- Excellent analytical, numerical & data skills, comfortable with data sets and manipulation;
- Excellent attention to detail and collaborative nature;
- Experience of mapping processes and process improvement;
- Able to use initiative, think independently and be proactive;
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organisation;
- Good at managing people and building a strong team ethos;
