Portfolio Manager North West London £60,000 - £65,000 We are now recruiting for an accountancy practice based in the North West that are offering a broad range of services to businesses across various sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Portfolio Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in accounting, VAT, bookkeeping, and management accounts to lead and manage a portfolio of clients while delivering exceptional service. Key Responsibilities: - Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing tailored accounting and business advisory services, ensuring the needs of clients are met efficiently and effectively. - Accounts Preparation: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and other relevant regulations. - VAT Services: Ensure accurate VAT reporting and filings, managing VAT compliance and advising clients on VAT planning, mitigation strategies, and compliance issues. - Bookkeeping: Supervise the preparation and review of bookkeeping records, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. - Management Accounts: Prepare and review management accounts, providing insightful financial analysis to clients, and assisting with budget forecasting, and financial planning. - Team Leadership and Development: Lead a small team of accountants and bookkeepers, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of services. -Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming their trusted advisor and point of contact for all accounting-related matters. -A bit of audit experience and knowledge would be desirable but not essential Key Requirements: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience. Strong experience in managing client portfolios within an accountancy practice, covering accounts, VAT, bookkeeping, and management accounts. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, VAT regulations, and financial reporting standards. Proven track record in delivering high-quality client service and maintaining strong client relationships. Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to lead and motivate a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite. Benefits: Competitive salary (£60,000 - £65,000 per annum).
