This role will be for a Finance Manager to lead all financial operations in the London office of an international law firm. You will also act in the capacity of Practice Manager and supervise all support staff.

My Client is an international law firm with a small but successful practice in London.

Description

  • Authorise supplier invoices, payments, and manage banking relationships.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, cash calls, and receivables with Paris.
  • Manage payroll, staff benefits, pension compliance, and related reporting.
  • Ensure tax compliance, including LLP returns, VAT, and PSA filings.
  • Act as COFA, ensuring SRA compliance and conducting audits.
  • Review internal controls, authorisations, and expense policies.
  • Handle lease renewals, sub-tenant management, and service charge reconciliations.
  • Manage Companies House filings and LLP membership updates.
  • Supervise staff, arrange coverage, and evaluate team performance.
  • Coordinate audits with CFO and HQ and act as the main contact for auditors.

Profile

  • Finance experience in a Law Firm environment.
  • Experience managing a small finance department.
  • Management team experience, including overseeing business services and support staff for a small office.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in legal finance environments.
  • Experience in change management and system implementation projects.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Proactive and skilled in handling financial and operational tasks.
