Your new companyHays are working with a company within the hospitality sector who have a great opportunity for a Qualified Finance Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified / finalist to join an established company whose sole aim is to offer a great and exciting service for their local and international customers.Your new roleThis role is being a second support to the Group Financial Controller responsible for contributing to the company's success in the following areas.
- Accurate financial control & monthly management reporting.
- Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
- Balance sheet reconciliations with a particular focus on prepayments, accruals, and salaries
- Taxation (VAT and corporation tax)
- Business partnering and cost control
- Build strong financial and accounting controls and policies
What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate for the role will have similar practical experience and be either a CIMA, ACA or ACA Newly Qualified or a seasoned Qualified Finance Manager. A thorough understanding of financial processes and controls including revenue, costs, balance sheet and cash handling deadlines and keeping to a timetable. Extensive experience in the application of accounting principles and standards and knowledge of the UK regulatory environment and other legislative requirements is essential.
