Valuations Senior Associate / Manager London

NSTR are working with a leading private equity backed international boutique advisory firm which is looking for an experienced Valuations Senior Associate / Manager for their highly regarded valuations team.

You will join a highly commercial team which prepares a range of valuations for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, litigation, commercial, tax and financial reporting purposes. Our team perform valuations of a range of assets including businesses, shares, intangible assets and management incentive scheme awards (e.g. share options).

Your work is key to the decision-making of a diverse set of stakeholders including shareholders, lawyers, board directors and banks.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Undertake research on industries, comparable companies and transactions
  • Prepare financial models and analysis to support the valuation process
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements and other relevant financial data to draw insightful conclusions and recommendations
  • Communicate valuation analysis and conclusions internally and to clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Manage workload on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines and client expectations are met.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in a professional services or consulting firm, with significant exposure to valuations as part of role.
  • Knowledge and previous application of commonly-applied valuation methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with experience in financial modelling and analysis
  • Clear and logical approach to problem-solving
  • Project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Begin to build internal networks and show an interest for getting involved in team business development initiatives

Desirable

  • Pursuing or recently completed a professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent)
