Behaviour Mentor - HackneyContract: Long-Term, Full-Time (Starting ASAP)Salary: £85-£95 per day (Depending on experience)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant school community in Hackney. This long-term contract role is ideal for someone with experience in supporting students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges. If you're passionate about helping young people achieve their potential, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with challenging behaviour
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents
  • Lead interventions to help students improve emotional regulation, social skills, and academic engagement
  • Support students both in and outside of the classroom, ensuring their well-being and development
  • Contribute to the development of behavioural policies and school strategies

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar mentoring or support role (ideally within a school setting)
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and SEN support strategies
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to working with young people
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., in education, psychology, or youth work) would be advantageous
