Our client is a market-leading law firm with a global reach. They are currently seeking a Conflicts & AML Analyst to join their Risk & Compliance team in London. What you'll do:
As a Conflicts & AML Analyst, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's Risk & Compliance team. You will be involved in conducting Client Due Diligence during the on boarding process for new clients as well as monitoring existing ones. Your ability to compile comprehensive risk assessments will play a crucial part in maintaining the firm's reputation. Additionally, your role will involve responding to high-risk queries from the team, escalating them when necessary. You will also assist with training sessions for partners and fee earners while keeping abreast of current AML regulations.
- Conduct Client Due Diligence during the on boarding process for new and existing clients
- Compile client and matter risk assessments, commenting on risk scoring assigned by partners
- Monitor new and existing clients regularly
- Respond to high-risk queries from the team, escalating to management when necessary
- Assist with partner and fee earning training
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current AML regulations, best practices, and procedures
- Manage and assess AML information within the firm's systems
- Establish information barriers and handle daily queries
- Carry out research using online commercial databases and national company registries
- Complete routine Sanctions, PEP, and adverse media searches
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Conflicts & AML Analyst position brings graduate calibre with at least one years' experience in a similar role within a law firm or other regulated professional services firm. You possess good commercial awareness including an understanding of SRA Client Due Diligence requirements. Familiarity with Intapp Conflicts and Intake system would be a plus. Your ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment will be crucial, as well as your proficiency in Microsoft Office and Document Management Systems. You are analytical with attention to detail and possess excellent communication skills.
- One year's experience in a similar role in a law firm or other regulated professional services firm
- Good understanding of SRA Client Due Diligence requirements
- Intapp Conflicts and Intake system is desirable but not essential
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
