Are you an experienced Ecologist ready to take on a leadership role with one of the UK's leading environmental consultancies? We are seeking a skilled Ecology Manager to lead exciting and diverse projects across the Southeast and London, while enjoying the flexibility of remote work. If you thrive on managing complex projects and want to broaden your expertise in sectors like heritage, mixed-use developments, residential, commercial, and renewable energy, this role could be your perfect next step!

Key Responsibilities:As Ecology Manager, you'll oversee a variety of projects, from ecological assessments and habitat surveys to impact evaluations, all while working closely with stakeholders across sectors. You'll also:

  • Lead fieldwork on protected species and habitats
  • Produce technical reports that meet CIEEM standards and ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Foster strong client relationships and play a key role in business development and tendering processes
  • Contribute to marketing efforts to enhance the consultancy's presence in the ecology sector

What We're Looking For:

  • BSc in a relevant field (MSc is a plus)
  • Significant experience in ecological consultancy (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
  • Level 2 Bat Licence
  • Expertise in botany
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle (essential)

This is a fully remote position, but you'll be required to attend occasional site visits and meetings, primarily in London and the Southeast. While we don't have a central office, our team stays connected through quarterly meetings and social events in London.
