My Local Authority client based in the South West is looking for a Housing Options Officer on a 6 month basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and advise on housing solution options for clients relating to homelessness prevention, housing options, tenure rights and security of tenure ensuring quality service is provided
- Ensure the accurate collection and organisation of details of all clients including financial statements and verification checks as well as applications, assessments, decisions and outcomes
Key Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation; Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002, Suitability Order 2012, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Tenant and Landlord law
- Data Protection Regulations
- Ability to work as both part of a team and independently
- Experience of working with the public and vulnerable applicants (preference given to those who have worked in a housing association, local authority housing department or something similar)
Location: South West
Pay: Negotiable
Contract: 6 Months
