Daytime Healthcare are assisting a high end Orthopedics Clinic Group, who are seeking a Anesthetics Lead Theatre Practitioner to join them.

You must have atleast 4 years of Theatre experience to be considered.

The duties include:-

  • To manage and lead the Anaesthetic service on a continual basis, manage theatre porters, to support to the Ward Managers, Theatre Suite and Enhanced Care Unit
  • To provide leadership, management, supervision and support to the team
  • To assist in the planning and the delivery of individualised, safe, effective and evidence based patient care
  • To ensure the provision of a welcoming, caring and safe environment for patients
  • Maintaining equipment asset register and ensuring maintenance, therefore.
  • Contribute to the effective budget management of the departmental clinical area
  • Identifying safe staffing levels and adjusting staffing levels to avoid under or over staffing
  • To assist the Head of Theatres and/or Deputy Head of Theatres in the business planning process
  • Stock checks/supplies ordering are carried out daily/ weekly/ monthly as agreed
  • Organise own work and that of others, give direction to all members in theatre
  • Orientate new staff, including bank and agency, to the department. This includes the use of electronic systems for patient management and stock capture.
  • Makes adjustments to cover emergencies and staff sickness to maximise efficiency
  • Report the failure or mechanical problems of any items in line with Hospital Policy and arrange for repair or replacement of it in consultation with manager
  • Participate in annual appraisals, 6 monthly catch-up meetings related to appraisals and delivering objectives that have arisen due to appraisals or through service improvement projects
