KS3 SEND Teacher
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Salary: £37,000 - £54,000 per annum
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm ( Full time, Temp to perm)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with moderate learning difficulties (MLD)? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our dynamic team at a specialist SEND school in Tower Hamlets, East London.
The Role and the school
This rewarding role involves leading a KS3 MLD class, with the opportunity to also teach English and PSHE to small groups across the school. You will be supported with medium-term planning but will be responsible for lesson preparation tailored to meet the diverse needs of your students. The school offers state-of-the-art sensory and therapy facilities, including a multi-level hydrotherapy pool. The institution emphasies providing opportunities for all pupils to learn and achieve, promoting their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development, and preparing them for the responsibilities and experiences of life. The school fosters a caring, friendly, and safe environment, encouraging students to develop skills and abilities that enable them to be as independent as possible. As of its last inspection on May 26, 2021, the school was rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire and motivate students with MLD.
- Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages personal and academic growth.
- Collaborate with a skilled team of professionals to ensure every student receives a holistic education.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to support individual learning goals.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS or equivalent qualifications with experience teaching students with SEND, particularly MLD.
- Be adaptable, patient, and creative in meeting the needs of diverse learners.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Be committed to the wellbeing and development of young people.
