We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Technical Assistant Ceded Reinsurance Manager, based at their office in the heart of London. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for managing ceded post-bind aspects of the company, for a defined ceded external portfolio and internal cessions written across the various platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support, guidance, and direction to colleagues within the team for complex processing issues and day to day technical processing.
- Lead and manage the set up of ceded reinsurance contract terms and ceded collateral trust agreements in the underwriting and accounting systems.
- Lead processing of ceded transactions at contract set up above thresholds and on complex accounts.
- Provide underwriting support at the Lloyd’s box.
- Manage large movements on catastrophe events, understanding the implications of assumed losses on ceded portfolio.
- Manage and review ceded aspects of the monthly / quarterly close.
- Lead and review timely monthly / quarterly close of the reinsurance accounting systems.
- Manage and review month-end / quarter-end processing and reconciliation of ceded accruals and recoveries in the company's accounting systems.
- Manage and review the monitoring of collateral requirements, amendments / withdrawals / releases when applicable.
- Review suggestions for potential write-offs and data analysis for commutations.
- Manage requests from internal and external auditors.
- Develop, implement, and document processes, controls, systems and solutions, for efficient handling of ceded portfolio.
Key Requirements
- At least 2-5 years previous experience in a Senior Ceded Technician / Assistant Manager role within the Lloyd's / London Market, including team management experience.
- A professional designation is required (i.e. ACII / CPCU / AIC / ARe).
- Experience with public companies and SOX 404, and advanced working knowledge of SICS and REMS, is preferred but not essential.
