The Role: Temporary Accommodation Officer

Location: Greenwich

Rate Of Pay: £22 Umbrella P/H

We are working with a company who are looking for a Temporary Accommodation Officer to work within their housing team. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join our Temporary Accommodation Placement Team, who provide a quality administration service to the team of temporary accommodation officers and the manager.

Main Duties:

  • Offer housing advice and information to customers via phone, email, or in person.
  • Assist with late-night accommodation requests and secure emergency properties.
  • Follow up with prospective landlords and negotiate nightly rates.
  • Ensure temporary accommodation properties meet health & safety compliance.
  • Process rent payments, manage tenancy accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, documents, and meeting arrangements.
  • Monitor expenditure, handle invoices, and assist in financial reporting.
  • Provide customer support, including non-casework advice and helpline services.
  • Assist with customer surveys, statistical monitoring, and the creation of informational materials.

The Candidate:

  • You will need to be quick thinking, discreet and very flexible to meet our changing priorities and deadlines.
  • You must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and show an ability to build good relationships with other departments, landlords and external organisation.
