About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of those affected by homelessness? Mulberry Junction, Haringey's dedicated resource center for single individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness, is seeking a compassionate and organized Welcome Worker.

As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the center. This includes supporting guests, coordinating activities, managing resources, and collaborating with internal and external teams. Your efforts will contribute directly to reducing homelessness and supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental welcome to all individuals accessing the service.
  • Manage telephone, email, and in-person inquiries, ensuring clear communication.
  • Assist in organizing events, activities, and appointments to optimize the use of space.
  • Maintain stock and oversee the distribution of donations.
  • Monitor health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Promote service awareness within the community and advocate for user rights.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to connect guests to relevant support services.
