Leadership and Management:
- Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Lead by example, inspiring staff to deliver high-quality care and education.
- Take responsibility for the nursery in the Managers absence.
Childcare and Education:
- Ensure the highest standards of safety, security, and well-being for all children.
- Develop and implement engaging learning opportunities that meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Monitor and evaluate childrens progress, providing support and guidance to staff.
Team Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and support staff members to achieve their potential.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and performance management of nursery staff.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Parent and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their childs progress.
- Handle any queries or concerns with professionalism and care.
Compliance and Administration:
- Ensure the nursery meets all regulatory and legislative requirements, including Ofsted standards.
- Maintain accurate records, including staff schedules, childrens attendance, and development plans.
- Assist in budget management and resource planning.
- Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a childcare setting, with leadership responsibilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
